Six-time World Tumbling champion Jon Beck of Blue Springs reached the pinnacle of his sport when he was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame on June 30, 2012 in San Jose, Calif.

World Championships: Beck won two tumbling titles at the World Games (1989, 1993), the 1992 World tumbling crown, two World team tumbling titles (1992, 1994) and the 1988 World team double mini-trampoline title. 1989 World Games Tumbling Champion (Germany);  1990 World Championship Tumbling Silver Medalist;  1992 World Tumbling Champion (New Zealand);  1993 World Games Tumbling Champion (The Hague);  1988 World Double Mini Team Champions (Birmingham, AL); 1992 World Team Tumbling Champions (Germany); 1994 World Team Tumbling Champions (Portugal); 1990 World Championship Team Silver Medalist; 1982 World Age Group Tumbling Champion (Illinois);  1982 World Age Group Silver Medalist (Illinois); 1988 World Age Group Tumbling Champion (Texas) National Championships: 18 Time National Champion – Senior and Age Group (Tumbling, Trampoline, Double mini and Synchronized Trampoline). Coaching: After his competitive days in tumbling, Beck has been a coach for more than 20 years. He was a part of the USA Gymnastics trampoline and tumbling national coaching staff from 1992-2009. Beck has been coaching at Xtreme Gymnastics in Lee’s Summit since 2003. In 2006, Beck’s tumbling team won the USGA national title.  1994 US World Age Group Tumbling Coach (Portugal);  1996 US World Age Group Tumbling Coach (Canada);  1999 US World Championship Coach (South Africa);  1998 World Cup Series and Finals Coach; 2001 US World Championship Coach (Denmark);  2005 US World Championship Coach (Netherlands);  2005/06 World Cup Series and Finals Coach;  Coach of World Cup Final Champion (Amanda Lentz) 1997 & 1998;  Coach of Numerous World Championships medalists and Finalists;  Coach of Numerous World Age Group Champions, Medalists and Finalists;  Coach of Over 50 Sr., Jr. and Age Group National Tumbling Champions.  Honors: 2009 World Acrobatic Society Gallery of Legends Inductee; 4 Time United States Olympic Committee Athlete of the Year; USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame-2012.  Personal: Beck currently lives in Blue Springs, MO. Family:  Mother-Betty Standbridge.
