Kevin Davis was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Gymnastics Team from 1986-1990. He represented the University of Nebraska and was coached by the USGHOF Coaching Team of Francis Allen and Jim Howard. He earned All-American status seven times winning NCAA event titles and helping the University of Nebraska win the 1988 NCAA team championship. He had no weak event, and that propelled him into the AA finals at the World Championships in 1989. His gymnastics was way beyond the dreams of those who competed in this writer’s generation. He completed difficult routines with true artistry making the most difficult moves seem like a part of a ‘60’s compulsory routine. He was a pleasure to watch and brought great pride to Americans who follow the “minor” sport of gymnastics.
